So far, in the main I have looked at the positive side of the environment and I think that on my mindmap at the start of the project has helped me establish focal points for my project that I plan to explore later on. Environmental damage will be an area that I would like to look at in the next couple of shoots, as portraying this side of my project is something that will be different from my work so far. However I feel that these kind of shots will require planning, otherwise I will end up with mediocre shots. I plan to gain some inspiration through other photographers work in order to know how I can show the negative side in my photos. I have tried to show pollution through shoots with cars before, however they have not been overly successful. For one of my shoots, I plan to shoot in the dark and add a slower shutter speed but I think portraying this in a negative way will be difficult so I am not sure entirely how I will do this but with the lights on the cars in a busy place such as near the motorway I could achieve this.
I also want to show the destruction that man has made on the environment. At the moment, I plan to do this in the studio and show a model violently destroying parts of her surroundings in order to give an effective atmosphere to the photo. The model will be dressed in dark clothes mainly, and will have expressions of anger on their face. I think that this will work best in the studio. I will still need to research what I plan for the models to destroy and make a mess of in the studio. In contrast to this, I may show in photos the way in which man is trying to recover the damage that has been done through examples such as recycling/renewable energy.
