Plans for the shoot
For this shoot, I plan to shoot in the studio with a white background in order to keep the photos simple and so that the colours in the background are not too distracting. I will most likely shoot this on a table with a white cloth, and use the boom light overhead in order to create an even light source and reduce shadows. I will shoot close up photos of the flowers that I have collected from my garden, which vary in colours so will hopefully contrast with each other and with the background and stand out. I am not sure how effective the idea of adding dead petals as a contrast between life will be, however I may use these petals in a couple of shots to add another element to the photo.
This is my favourite photo from the shoot because by just using one flower it is very simple because of the white background the focus is on the flower. I also like the fact it is starting to wilt, which could represent a number of different things within society and the environment. One thing I do not like about this photo however is the shadow at the bottom of the photo, as if I was to do this shoot again I would ensure that there are no shadows. I also like the composition of the photo, as the flower is appearing from the left hand-side of the photo and is laid across the width.
This photo is similar to the top photo in terms of the composition, and the idea behind it. With this photo, I have reduced the saturation in order to show that it is gradually dying, and the petal is not symmetrical with the other ones.

I like the vibrant colours in the petals of these flowers, as this is what makes the photo effective. I also like the fact one flower is facing away from the other, as it makes the photo more interesting. One thing I also think ruins the effect slightly of this photo is the shadow that is created by the petals which was a reoccurring mistake across this shoot. I think that the white background works well with this type of shot, as it keeps it simple and the focus remains on the flower in the photo.
What I hope to achieve
From this shoot I hope to achieve shots that vary from what I have done in previous shoots and I think close up shots in the studio will help me to achieve this. I will be happy with around 40 or so shots that will allow me to touch up the photos on photoshop. I may also use one of the photos I produce and use the technique of weaving on it by using photoshop. In general, I don't think these photos will need too much editing as they are effective simply by themselves.

What I plan to do next
I plan to shoot in the studio again next. However, I am considering doing this shoot with a model also. I will focus on the idea of man destroying the environment and the negative impact this will have. I will either show the person in the photo acting destructively or acting as to 'save' the environment, and campaigning for this. I am not exactly sure how I will do this, however the person is likely to be holding some sort of a sign and wearing neutral brown/green clothes in order to portray this natural world.
