Work Diary- Blur

Evaluation

Overall, I really enjoyed this shoot and after researching on the internet for other photographers work I had a few ideas of my own that I wanted to shoot in the studio. Although I did not get as many pictures as I would have liked, I feel that the quality of some of my shots makes up for this and this is why I enjoyed experimenting with this technique. I only tried a couple of ideas as I was time restricted, however if I was to do it again I may experiment with different props in order to achieve a wide variety of shots. I think this technique would be good to show aspects of movement within photos, and the extra light source that I began to use enhanced my shots in my opinion.

I like this photo as there is a clear distinction between the movement and the subject in the centre of the photo. I also feel that because the subject is not as blurred as the rest it stands out more and makes it more effective. I also like the 'figure 8' shape in this photo that was created by an additional light source which I am glad that I used because it adds another element to the photo.  The one thing I would ensure next time is that the position of the light source is in a better place as there is too much shadow on the models face.
I like the bright colours in this shot as there are tones of reds and purples that complement each other. I also like the aspect of blur in this photo as most of the photo is blurred which gives the impression of fast movement. I also like the shape that the blur makes and I think the composition works well with the concept of the photo. However, I think if the model's face was in focus a little more than her body it would be more effective.
