Technique Page- Multiple Flash

In order to achieve a multiple flash photo you will need to:

  • A darker background will generally work better for multiple flash, so if possible use a dark grey of black.
  • Turn the dial on the camera to the setting 'B' and this will alter the cameras shutter speed.
  • You will need to turn on the modelling light in the studio initially so that you have time to focus the camera properly.
  • Once focused, turn off the light so that you will shoot your picture in darkness.
  • You will need to aim to set the flash off up to 5 times depending on what you want to achieve. (this will be controlled by a separate clicker)
