Introduction-
The topic of my personal project is on the environment. This involves quite a broad spectrum of the environment, as this may be in either a positive or negative way depending on how it is interpreted. The idea behind a photo can also be down to personal interpretation as for one person it may represent something other than what the photographer intended it to show. Also, the importance of the environment is significant within society as it determines what happens on a daily basis. For example, if a country experiences a natural disaster it is likely to act in an extreme way to recover compared with if it did not happen. Showing the environment whether positively or negatively is an important thing to do as without photography nothing that happens in the world would in fact be documented. The environment constantly changes, whether this is because of man-made reasons or natural occurrence, over time the environment may go through different stages of change and the effects of this through seasonal change or environmental damage may be shown in photographs of nature. The idea of the environment also looks at the positive aspect of life and nature within it, this may be of plants, insects and wildlife within a range of different environments. There is no particular way to shoot the environment, it ranges from landscape-type shots, to detailed macro lens shots.
Outline Plan-
Brief History-
Talk about photographers that are big in this side of photography, and evaluate some of the photographers work. I will include pictures from the past also, as these show where this type of photography originated from.
Two current photographers-
In this paragraph I will discuss a couple of present-day photographers and how their work has inspired me, I will also analyse their photos and talk about how this relates to my topic of the environment. Evidence of their work will also be used in this paragraph, and my opinions of the photographers work that I have chosen.
How does your work fit into this-
In this paragraph I will talk about shoots that I have already done for my personal shoot, and talk about what I have found difficult and how I have overcome this. I will also talk about how this relates to photographers that I have researched and how successful my shoots have been.
Future-
By the use of techniques that I have started the A2 year off with, I will in this paragraph talk about how I see myself progressing in my personal topic and how my work will relate across my shoots. I will also discuss the future of this type of photography in terms of where the direction of this photography will move in the future.
Conclusion-
In this paragraph, I will evaluate my points of the importance of environmental photography, where it originated from and conclude and evaluate my work and compare it to existing photographers work.
